Future Finance plans to roll out service across Europe, with Ireland launching this year

Specialist student lender Future Finance is to create 50 jobs over the next two years as part of a major expansion across Europe, including Ireland.

The Dublin-based company, which already employs 48 staff, launched in the UK just 16 months ago.

To date it has received over 25,000 applications from students at every university in the UK and has lent a total of over £16 million (€22.1 million).

It plans to roll out its service across Europe, with Ireland due to launch by the end of 2015.

The company said the new jobs would be in sales, marketing, customer support and product development.

The project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Brian Norton, chief executive of Future Finance said: “We have benefitted significantly from the excellent business environment and the quality of employees we’ve been able to hire in Dublin.”

“Higher education is a smart investment: graduates enjoy a lifetime of better employment prospects and higher earning power.”

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton said, “ Today’s announcement that Future Finance, a fast-growing company in this area, is creating an extra 50 jobs in its Dublin headquarters is another important step and a very welcome boost for the city. I wish Brian and all the team continued success with this project.”
